Here’s a fun application I worked on at HackPSU Spring 2016. I was applying the principles of a brain computer interface class I was taking. This app is an android application which tells you to drink coffee when your alpha rhythms are high. We weren’t able to test it properly because we were all too tired to generate good data. However I got to play with a Muse EEG headband which produced reasonable data for using dry electrodes and costing only $200. Even better their API was very well developed and included functions which automatically filtered data to bandwidths such as the alpha and beta band. That being said I suspect this headband would not work well for higher frequency EEG projects. Toni Au and Carlin Au from Rutgers also worked on it.
